Management Reporting (MR2)

The Management Reporting Team (MR2) is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining management reporting solutions that will enable users to report on key data from the Banner Finance and HR applications. In addition to providing a set of reporting structures, the MR2 team will also develop a library of centrally supported reports.

The Financial Reporting system was rolled out on January 1, 2002.  Currently over 550 financial users access the MR2 reporting environment.  These users can choose from over 125 centrally supported reports. 

The HR Reporting solution will be implemented on July 1, 2003 and will coincide with the rollout of the Banner HR system. 

BusinessObject's WebIntelligence is the end user tool that gives users access to the Finance Reporting system and the upcoming HR reporting solution.  WebIntelligence provides two levels of end-user capabilities: 1) Report Readers - users who can access and run reports from a library of centrally supported reports; and 2) Report Developers - advanced users who can access the underlying reporting structures to create custom reports.

System Availability and MR2 Production Schedule  

The Financial Reporting system (WebIntelligence) is available daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.  Sundays are reserved for system maintenance and users will be notified when the reporting system will be unavailable.  Please note that end user support is only available during normal business hours.

The data contained in the Finance Reporting system is updated nightly on USNH business days.  Snapshots of the Banner Finance data are taken at 9:00 pm each evening.  The reporting data is then refreshed via an overnight production cycle and users cannot access the system while production is running.  Production currently completes around 4:30 am.  Once production is finished, the system is available for end users.  For information on the status of the reporting database – MRPR, please refer to: the FRESH server status page (http://www.unh.edu/sis/freshnews.html).
