LEGACY SYSTEM VS. BANNER HR –
DOCUMENT ROLLOUT WAS A BIG SUCCESS
A team of Project FRESH members spent weeks developing a
detailed document that compares the current HUM system and business processes
with the recommended business solutions to be implemented with the new Banner HR
system. A series of presentations was conducted during the months of August and
September to share this information with key stakeholders. Similar to the
document, the presentations were organized in five major categories: 1)
Employment Management, 2) Benefits, 3) Position Budgeting, 4) Compensation, and
5) Payroll. Although these sessions were not intended to be detailed training
classes, they enabled individuals in the audience to learn about Banner HR and
to ask questions about the recommendations outlined in the Legacy vs. Banner HR
document.
According to Carol Powers, Project FRESH HR Team Lead,
“The Legacy vs. Banner HR document is one of our most critical rollouts. A lot
of effort went into producing a detailed document that serves as a foundation
for the Banner HR implementation. The team should be commended for a job well
done.”
