Are You Ready? Banner HR users will be accessing the system via the Web. Please check to see if your desktop meets the following recommended requirements:
► Because most administrative users will be running not only Banner applications but a host of other applications such as the Microsoft Office, Exchange and various others, the Project FRESH Technical Team recommends users have at least a Windows PC with Pentium II 300 MHz and 128 MB RAM on their desktop. Note: The minimum desktop configuration -- as defined by SCT -- required to run Banner Finance and HR applications is a Windows PC with 166 MHz and 32 MB RAM. This configuration is NOT recommended by Project FRESH; it will not allow users to multi-task with other typically used applications. Nonetheless, PCs of this minimal configuration have successfully run the suite of Banner applications in a test environment. Testing has shown that a PC with 200 MHz and 64 MB RAM can function in Banner and will allow users to use more than one application at once. The performance is not perfect, and you will experience moments of frustration with slow response time. For best possible performance, users should use computers that exceed the FRESH Technical Team recommendations. Upgrading of computers with at least 200 MHz and 64 MB RAM may be considered but is not required.
